TOGETHER IN SONG
The Senior Division of YSGW will perform on WGBY Public TV's Together in Song program. Here are the detals:
Description of Event: The Senior Division of Young Singers has been invited to tape a 4 minute segment for the WGBY program Together in Song: A Celebration of Choral Music in Western New England, to be aired during the months of March and April on WGBY, Channel 57. The dates when the YSGW segment will be aired will be posted here as soon as they are announced.
Date of Taping: Wednesday, February 1, 2012
Arrival Time for Taping: 5:30 PM (taping from 6:00-7:00 PM)
Location of Taping: WGBY Studios, 44 Hampden Street, Springfield, MA
Parking Information: Singers should park in WGBY's employee parking lot just off East Columbus Avenue (behind the station). Please see directions on wgby.org. The lot is small so please limit the guests accompanying your group — carpool when you can. Security is supplied in that lot during taping. NOTE: If your singer needs a ride to the taping, please contact Mrs. St. Jean.
About Watching the Taping: Due to space limitations, parents will not be able to watch their children in the studio. They will, however, be able to watch on closed circuit TV in the waiting room.
Piece to be Performed: We will sing To Olga for the taping. Please practice between rehearsals.
Dress: Please dress the same way you did for the November and December concerts. This is a formal-wear performance.
Permission Release: Please fill out and return the release form for the taping no later than Thursday, February 2.
If We Make the Semifinals: WGBY WILL BE TAPING THE SEMI FINAL AND FINAL PERFORMANCES ON SUNDAY, APRIL 22. THIS IS THE SECOND WEEKEND OF SPRING VACATION. PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY. WE WON'T KNOW IF WE ARE AMONG THE SELECTED GROUPS UNTIL LATE MARCH OR EARLY APRIL.
One Final Request: Please wear your YSGW T-shirt next week. We need a new photo for WGBY!

- Junior Division: School tour for late March or early April. Stay tuned....
- Spaghetti Supper: Mid April. Details will be shared soon.
TUITION
Tuition for the second half of the year is now due. If you have not already paid, tuition is $90. Make checks payable to Young Singers of Greater Westfield.
SPRING REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
Here is the rehearsal schedule for this spring:
- Junior Division: Thursdays from 5:30-6:45 pm, North Middle School
- Senior Division: Thursdays from 7:00-8:30 pm, North Middle School
- Moriah: Mondays, 4:30-6pm, Mrs. St. Jean's house
There will be NO rehearsals the week of February vacation (that is, on February 20 or February 23).
If the Westfield Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather, there will be no rehearsal.
If you must be absent or tardy, please call us!
PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ARRIVE ON TIME. SINGERS COMING IN LATER DISRUPT THE REHEARSAL, SO DO YOUR BEST!
CONCERT SCHEDULE FOR 2011-2012
